Crocheted Cot blanket

It seemed like a good time to make a quilt for fund raising at Rangiura Home. After a browse on the internet to find a contemporary style, I settled on this modern squares queen sized quilt. Although the design isn’t complicated, it does allow for the feature fabrics to make more of a statement.

The artists drawing for the laundry room

Fernhaven (Memory Support Unit) is getting four new tactile wall hangings each done by a different person. An artist has drawn up the 80cmx80cm ‘plan’ for each room. I was chuffed to get the laundry, this is how I interpreted it…

Spiderweb Quilt

Here's the whole spiderweb quilt

I was inspired by a quilt I saw when browsing the web and had to have a go at this block. Some spiderweb quilts are made of random ‘strings’ of fabric sewn together but I prefer this regular look with fatter widths of fabric. Google spiderweb quilt if that doesn’t make sense. Finished size is 205 cm x 205 cm(81″ x 81″).
