I started this quilt a few years ago but thought it was looking very bland and lost my enthusiasm for it. By appliqueing bright flowers around the edge it’s looking more cheerful so I’ve gone ahead with quilting and binding it. Yay, finished!

Found some great patterns on the net which were fun to make up. The first was a knitted leaf pattern by Lesley Arnold-Hopkins. It made a great blanket when knitted into different coloured blocks and then sewn together. The jacket is Linden Heflin’s ‘Baby Sophisticate’, which I knitted in Paton’s 12 ply Jet wool on 5.5mm needles. The last photo is another pair of sheepskin soled baby booties, slightly larger than last time.
