I found this really easy to follow free pattern on the net by Deborah A. Fenton for a tote bag. She used Flourish fabric but I found some kiwiana fabric at Spotlight’s sale. Inside it is lined and has side pockets, thanks for sharing your pattern 🙂

At long last I found a wall hanging on line that helped me use up the hexagon flower patches that I hand pieced ages ago. It’s a ‘hexes ball quilt’ which entails you sewing your hexes together then boldly cutting out a circle and quilting them onto a whole cloth background. It wasted quite a few of the outer blocks but I’m happy to hang the finished result on a wall at Rangiura. It also allowed some serious machine quilting 🙂

It’s been wet outside for a few weeks, so that’s a good excuse to cheer up the house with some crocheted bunting.(No more, I promise) We also have some good memories of our activity advent calendar from years gone by, so I’ve made one for the grandies and the handbag, well, who needs an excuse to make a new one?
