I knitted up this cabled numberĀ from ‘Thread and Ladle: Otto Day cardigan’ which is quite different. Looks better on than in this photo! The other three are really old 1980’s knitting patterns that look okay knitted up in more modern colours.

Owl Cot Quilt

There’s something very nice about making cot quilts, they have fun subjects and they aren’t too big! Found lots of different shapes of owls when browsing the net and then appliqued them in bright colours. Hey presto, my take on an owl cot quilt.
Pirate Ship Cake

Thank you Toushka Lee for the blog on ‘how to make a pirate ship.’ It was a hit with our 3 year old grandson, the tutorial was well described. The only addition was a fondant pirate (along with requisite parrot on his hat and blue teddy bear). The licorice rail was replaced with a fondant rail. Thanks again.
